Turned out I was! If I had went and gotten on some form of BC I wouldn't have gotten pg three months into my marriage(not to say my little boy isn't the greatest and a huge blessing to my hubby and I we have 2 boys now). I was also very scared and uncomfortable. I think every one is. Just know that dr.'s are total professionals and you won't be in the exam room alone w/ him. A nurse will be there. Your dr. doesn't look at you "that" way. He is there to help you and help you take care of yourself! I had a woman dr. w/ my second baby and I didn't feel any more at ease! I personally felt more uncomfortable at first. The biggest thing is to get to know your dr. and make sure that he/ she knows you haven't had an exam before. He will be very gentle and explain what is happening! Hope this makes you feel better! This is some advice my sis gave me, "keep your socks on!" Take care! Koleen
