Sorry to post again - thought of another question. One reason I went to see my doctor about my bleeding was that I started not feeling well. Lightheaded and very headachey. I also feel listless and don't want to eat very much. I can't recall ever feeling this ill during a period. I have been bleeding for 6 days now. It is beginning to taper off, but it has been unusually heavy. Could such heavy bleeding cause anemia? The doctor didn't do a blood count on me yesterday, although I mentioned the symptoms I described above. Also, I do have a prior history of anemia - probably caused by bleeding - although this diagnosis was 4 years ago and I have since recovered. Can this condition recur? And what can I do to begin feeling better, if I am a little anemic?
