>I agree with below. Some other medical issues not related to the pelvic exam: The birth control pill can increase your risk for stroke, so blood pressure needs to be monitored. Don't smoke if you are on the pill , that will increase the risk for stroke.(you shouldn't smoke anyway.)Also birth control pills increase your risk for breast cancer. It has been though that they decrease your risk for ovarian cancer, but a new study says that some types of bc pills increase your risk for that too.
