Although that is not always the way things go, which is why nonsexually active women need them too, but apart from that, a pelvic exam is a good thing for everyone, as any other cancers of our repro. organs, can be discovered that way. and any unusual pain can be investigated too. I suppose an exam for first time users on the pill are examined to check their organs are ok and as a preparation for the exams in the future, as a sexually active woman. That's all I have read. I expect others furhter information on this.
