strange symptomsFrom: ab (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 3 Apr 2002 11:48:10 -0600 (CST)
Im 17 yrs old, and ive been on bcps for nearly 7 months now, and changed to a lower dose pill 4 months into it because of nauseous symptoms and persistant headaches. 3 months into the new brand ive noticed major changes such as heavier periods, larger breasts, gaining weight, and most concerningly an increase in discharge and flatulance. I know these symptoms are normal, (all but the last, im not sure why this happens) but the discharge worries me since the texture has changed. Sorry to be too graphic, but it has become thicker, milky-cloudy and often leaves wet patches in my underwear, where it's so watery. Is this abnormal? There's no accompanying odor, and my partner and i always use condoms so there's no chance of any std's. I know that I am not pregnant since the last negative hpt i took was about a month after the last time we had sex (I know there is a link btwn increased discharge and pregnancy) so i dont really know whats going on. Surely these symptoms would not have come about so late into the bcps, or maybe it's the change of brand? Any response would be helpful, since im not used to bodily changes like this. Thank you.
