I was diagnosed with genital herpes 7 months ago when my first outbreak ocurred. I have had subsequent outbreaks, but they are short and extremely mild. I have noticed that intercource , especially penetration is painfull. The pain occurs on the right side of the vagina and send a shooting pain along the right side up towards the clitorus as well as along the right side of the vagina. During self examination I have found that this pain occurs from the streaching or pulling on the right side of the skin on the outside of the vagina. I have tried lubricants and positioning, but it don't make it much better. I am not sure if I should go to my GYN about this , as exams are painful (he says my muscle are really strong) and he doesn't answer my questions.
