CandidaFrom: T (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Mar 2002 04:12:27 -0600 (CST)
I am 20 years, 5'4" and weigh about 180 lbs., which I know qualifies me as being overweight. Since Sept. 2001, until now, April 2002, I have been going to see a variety of gynecologists that have diagnosed my symptoms as being the yeast infection candida. I have been experiencing excessive sweating with a musty smell underneath my stomach and between my thighs and a foul ordor seeming to be secretions for about a year now. Also, I am constantly having difficulty having bowel movements. Is this related? For the yeast infection the doctors have prescribed Dyflucan pill, Nystain, clotrimazole and hydrocrotizone, which help the symptoms only a little bits, although I have been using these products for the last past 6 months. For the constipation I took Ex-Lax, but stopped due dependency, and begun eating lots of fruits and drinking water only, still the powerful pains in my stomach from constipation and irregular bowel movements. I have changed my shower soap from Caress, Dove, or Jergens, detergent and stopped using liquid fabric softner, only the towels when drying, when washing my panties. These symptoms are cutting into my social life for I am a sohpmore in college and also a part-time cashier that calls for a lot of my time away fromt the security of my home. I am constantly taking baths without using bubble baths or bath beds. I am unhappily becoming anti-social and developing an edge whenever I am in public because I think and know everyone smells the bad odor. I am very depressed and need to know what should I do? That I haven't already done. It is becoming very expensive, embarrassing and depressing and I feel like I just can't take the agony that follows this "Candida." PLEASE HELP ME!!
