vulvar edema-one more question

My question is, if I have a bartholin gland abscess, will it get better on it's own, can it wait two months until I am back in the U.S. I currently live in a third world country where they not only don't know what I have, they aren't very sterile, and im afraid ill get another infection from their non-sterile instruments. I will be going to the u.s. in 2 months can it wait? I can get antibiotics, will that help at all? I do have the ability to do a gram stain to look for nisseria, but would that be indicative enough? I have talked to past sexual partners and none say they have had any symptoms. Could it also be trichimonas vaginalis? I have had the labia minora edema before off and on for the past 4 years, but it's never gotten this bad, and it always went away on it's own. It always happened when I had my period for a long period of time. This is the first time it hasn't gone away. I know diagnosis can't be made over the computer but basically im asking is a gland abscess always due to another disease or infection? Is it possible to just have a gland problem, I am always excessively dry. Just another note, I spilled a whole culture of staphylococcus all over me a few weeks ago when the swelling and edema began, I do not know what type of staph it was, could this also be causing problems. I used antimicrobials but it's possible I assume that not all organisms were killed.
