I am a 27yo mother of two, both normal full term deliveries. As a teen I experienced severe menstrual cramps which became 95% better after the birth of my children. Since November, I have been experiencing severe cramping again. My periods are very heavy (soaking a pad an hour, large clots) and long (9 days) I also have been passing pieces of tissue. I experience pain during intercourse, during urination and bowel movements with my period and the pain is so severe that I am nauseated. I have had ulcerative colitis since age 15 but the pain and symptoms I describe are different than those of the UC. I am not one to run to the dr. for every ache or pain but I am a little scared by this and am hurting very badly! Could this be my colitis or is this something gynecological? -- Thank you in advance.
