Yes, it could be a yeast infection...you can have excellent hygiene and still get a yeast infection or a bladder infection. You can also have burning with urination from a yeast infection. Could be other things too....if she is scratching a lot from the itching, she could have irritated her urethra (the opening), which is causing burning when she urinates.

What about calling your GYN to see what s/he has to say about this? I'd hate to see your 11 year old going through this all weekend! If you've ever had a yeast infection, you know how uncomfortable they can be....I feel for her...
