Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: ally late period" Hi, I am 18 years old and have had my period for 5 years. It has never been regular. It varies between 32-40 days and is always 5 days long. I am not sexually active yet I have had close contact with a guy about 2 weeks ago. But there was no intimate contact or fluid exchange. I was fully clothed the entire time and I would doubt that his "stuff" would be able to get from him and on my hand through my jeans to get me pregnant. During these past two weeks I have had my typical signs of my period, bloating, moderate to severe cramps, moodiness, depression, back pain, and nausea. It is day 46 today and I haven't gotten my period yet. I have been under a huge amount of stress the past three weeks because of my college classes. I have an appointment with an OBGYN this next week, but I'm looking for some peace of mind till then. Please help. What could be causing this delay, since there is not a chance of me being pregnant?
