I have had irregular periods for about 2 years now. I am 27 years old and had normal periods until 2 years ago. The Dr first checked my hormones and found my thyroid was totally out of control so they finally got that under control and my levels have been normal for about a year and a half. In October I had a period that lasted about 5 weeks on and off with dark brown blood my Dr put me on Premetrium for 10 days and said I should have a normal period afterwards, it never came. Two weeks ago I started my first period since October and it has jsut been spotty with dark brown blood. I called my Dr and am scheduled for a endometrial biopsy, what will they be looking for. I've looked on this site and all the biopsy questions seem to apply to older women. I am married and sexually active but the bhcg was negative(by blood). Thanks for any answers.
