Bacterial Vaginosis

Hello. I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis and was prescribed an internal cream that I used for three nights. Following this treatment I noticed that all of the symptoms had disappeared...no discharges, and no strange smell. While on the treatment I didn't have any sex, and once it was over I began having sex again. I have had sex for about a week now, and today I noticed the smell is back. From what I've read I know it's quite common for recurrance, and judging from some people who write in, it seems like it can be almost a "chronic" condition. I guess I'm wondering if there's even a point in my treating myself again (I still have medication left), as it seems pretty evident to me that the infections, at least with me, are triggered by intercourse. Thanks for your time!
