Small sores and painful urination

I'm 23, sexually active, and right before my last period experienced what I thought was a yeast infection. It was itchy, and smelled like yeast. Nothing unusual. Then, after my period started, I noticed that I developed small red bumps that are extremely painful, and urination burns like crazy. They do not look like genital herpes blisters, as they are just raised and red, with no fluid inside. The bumps seem to be mostly in the area around my vulva, but there are several along my lips, and next to my clitoris. Can anyone help me with what this might be? These symptoms have been continuing for about 7 days now with no relief.
