It would be a good idea to go to your doctor and get this checked out. You may have an infection (yes, virgins get them too). If possible, revert to whatever detergents you used before these symptoms began. A lot of women use the same laundry detergent, body wash etc. to avoid allergic reactions.

Do not douche, as it can alter the normal vaginal flora. Please, do not use talcum powder in your private area. There is some discussion that talcum use may contribute to ovarian cancer. You are very right, it is a chemical. Although I'm not a doctor, I would think that the vaginal area should be somewhat moist, as it is naturally. Best wishes.
