Re: bone bruise/sprainFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 14 Feb 2002 18:55:58 -0600 (CST)
Hi me! I know you probably aren't going to like what I have to say, but please listen to your Mom and the trainer. Your Mom is trying to watch out for you, and obviously she cares a great deal about your health and well being. Sports injuries (what this is), can get worse real fast. If they get too bad, its possible that the injury will be un-repairable. I know sports is probably very important to you, but take some time for yourself and let things heal properly. Trust me. I am now 28, broke my collarbone at the age of 15 while playing soccer. I was heartbroken that I had to quit the team, but I knew it was the best thing for me to do. Hang in there. Maybe rest this season, then go back next season.
