Lower Left Abdominal Pain and Confused...

Hi everyone. I'm 28 years old. I've always had regular periods every 28 days no problem. My periods are STILL regular. But I've been having chronic pain near my left ovary for about 2 1/2 months now. The only time I get any relief from this pain is during my period. The pain is a dull ache that just never goes away. The pain is not strong enough to keep me from my normal schedule - but it's just annoying and kind of scary because I don't know what it is. I don't have any other symptoms. My bowl movements are regular. My urine is regular. I exercise almost every day. No fevers and NO nausia. No irregular bleeding. No loss of appetite. And the pain stays localized in that one specific area. I have been told by friends and family that its probably just a cyst and to not worry about it. But I do worry because I continue to be in pain. I have a scheduled gynocological appointment in 7 days. But I was just hoping someone could give me their opinion in the meantime. Thanks in advance for your response.
