PID

Hello, I am a 24 year old female with a concerning question. I have just been diagnosed with PID. I am very upset about this and I am just starting to come to terms with it. My question that my doctor didn't specify is that my partner should get treated. He once had HPV, but never had an STD that may result to PID. Everything has been cured, but recently, I have been reading information that says everyone involved should get treated. Is this true? I have been with this partner for over a year and plan to stay monogomous with him. But, we both hope that I caught this problem in time and I do not want any chance of this disease coming back. Also, do you know of any changes I should make in my diet while I am taking the antibiotics? (ie, less fatty, more carbs?).

Thanks for your time.

I really appriciate it.
