Kelly Shanahan, MD, FACOG: "Re: lower abdominal pains cc" the pains occur unexpectedly 2-3 times a month in the center of my abdomen just below by navel and above my pubic hair line. it is a really sharp stabbing pain that lasts up to 30mins. sometimes i feel a sharp pain during deep penetration. the pains are so intense i can't move. to put any tension on my abs at all makes it worse. my doctor can't find anything wrong, though. i need answers, because i don't understand what causes it. i have no infections, urinary problems, not pregnant, not on my period, but i often go a week to a week and a half without a bowel movement. i also experience lower back pains, but at different times than my abdominal pains.
