Not long after I first started menstruating, I would sometimes have swelling the week before my period that would go away as soon as I started bleeding. This time however, it has come about a week or more earlier than usual and is much worse than ever before. I am not a virgin, but i have not been sexually active for about 6 months now. It has been a week now and my period is still at least another week away. The pain is getting to be extremely uncomfortable when I walk or sit or lie on my side with my legs together.
