abnormal bleedingFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 25 Jan 2002 16:34:36 -0600 (CST)
I am a thirty year old mother of a two year old who has always had very regular periods with moderate flow. I have recently had 3 periods right on top of each other that have been extremely heavy with quarter-size clots and have lasted about 10 days each. As soon as it seems to end, another one begins. I am not on any kind of birth control but I do not believe that I was pregnant. I went to my ob-gyn when it started up the second time and he did a pelvic exam and said it was probably hormonal and would work itself out, but since it is still happening, I am getting worried. What else could be causing this? I am not on any medication and have not had any weight loss/gain recently.
-- Thank you, Jennifer
