I have a couple of questions. I started the pill a month ago. I'm taking Ortho-Tri Cyclen. I started my period at the end of the pack like usual, but I noticed that something very abnormal came out of my body. It was so gross that I vomited twice. I know that having solid discharge during periods is normal. but this was larger than usual and it was not a reddish-brownish color like usual. It was the color of skin. It was a ball shape the size of a ping pong ball and had four long stringlike arms hanging out the sides. It looked like a four armed octopus. It was so gross! I get my periods regularly every month, so I don't know if I'm overreacting. Also, I doubt it was a miscarriage because my boyfriend alwayd withdrawals even when I while on the pill. I'm thinking about getting off the pill, but he doesn't like to use condoms either. I usually protect myself against pregnancy by tracking my period, which is usually seven days long, and I abstain from sex from days 10-14. Do u think it is an effective way to avid pregnancy by tracking my period and using the withdrawal method. Please help! I would appreciate any advice for both concerns.
