Is your boyfriend pulling out before he becomes flacid again? That is what is recommended with condoms, so they do not slip off. Showering or douching will not prevent pregnancy. If you have been taking your pills as directed..not missing any and taking them around the same time every day, you should be protected. Stress can throw your cycle off, and can cause breakthrough bleeding and/or spotting. Some medications can interfere with the absorption of OCP's. Hope this helps. Robin
