Hi,

If you have been taking the pill consistently, (i.e. haven't missed one and have taken it at the same time every day) you will be protected from pregnancy. Spotting could be due to a number of variables, with stress being one of them. The Dr's will able to answer that part of your question.

Just a reminder that birth control pills do not protect from STD's and if you are not in a monogomous relationship you should get tested for STD's since the condom slipped off.

P.S. Showering immediately after intercourse will not wash out sperm and will not prevent pregnancy, and neither will douching.
