Gigi,

Glad to help you!

YOu don't mention your age, but the recommendation is for you to have your first exam at the age of 18 or when you become sexually active, whichever occurs first. I have seen several of the MD's say the American College of Obstetrician's and Gynecologists recommend the first visit to a GYN by the age of 13 or 14...not for an exam, but just to discuss issues going on, and to educate.

Believe me, what is going on with you will not surprise your MD. He has seen and read everything. This is not to say what you have is something unusual!! Please, do not misunderstand. What about talking with your MD's nurse? She may be able to guide you. You may just have a rash that some cream will help. Could be an external yeast infection...your Dr. really needs to see you about it...start with his nurse and go from there.
