Hi Kate,

I'm not sure if this is the same as what I had, but years ago when I was in high school I used to get a similar sounding rash on my fingers (one at at time). My rash looked like little clear bubbles under the skin and was very itchy. It would get red the more I scratched it. Sometimes I wanted to pop the bubbles. They had some kind of fluid in it and if they popped they usually spread the rash further.

My Dr. said some type of excema or dermatitis or an allergy. I would often get the same kind of rash from using gauze bandages (I am obviously allergic and can only use plastic bandaids). I'm not sure the name of the cream, but I was prescribed a topical ointment.

I'm not sure if it is the same as yours though, because my bubbles were liguidy and moveable, whereas you describe yours as hard. You should really see your Dr. and he will then get you to see a dermatologist if necessary. Don't worry about it but don't put off seeing a Dr. either. Only a Dr. will be able to ease your mind.

Hope that helps and good luck!
