reoccurrent yeast infections

I have been on Mircette for about 4 months now, and ever since I started I have been having reoccurrent yeast infections. They are the most troublesome things. I went to my gyno who at the time thought i just had a stubborn one and prescribed me medication for it. It went away for a couple of months. Then recently I had my period and had intercourse with my boyfriend, which was dry and painful. After my period ended I have another yeast infection. I was just wondering if it could have been from the intercourse. is it possible that my boyfriend has one? we do not use condomns so it could be passed. a friend told me he could rid himself of it without going to a doctor by using an over the counter yeast infection medicine and rubbing it on his penis. I was also wondering if i should request a pill change just to be safe. i really do not want another one of these. Is it possible that no matter what pill I am on, I will always experience these wretched things? Please Help.
