I'm not a Dr., but when I have switched pills, it was always when I was ready to start a new pack. This, according to my MD.

Did your MD not give you this information? S/he should have told you this when you saw or spoke with him/her. Give your MD a call and ask this question of the Dr. or his/her nurse.
