Hello, In Feb. of 99 I had a tubal ligation and came off of bc pills, ever since then my hormones have been completely off. Last year ,in June of 2001, I went to the dr. and had some tests done. I was informed that I have fibroid tumors and was given Sarafem for PMDD. I have had problems with weight gain and now my periods are seriously irregular. One or two months it will be close, within 3 or 4 days, and for the last two months it has been 2 mos. late each time. I did at one point in Nov. have the slightest of spotting for a day and then nothing. I am now having sharp, labor like pains in my lower left pelvis, the location of the largest fibroid. My dr. wanted to treat me with just medications but they have done nothing spectacular for me as of yet. Is there something else that should have been tested? I have had quite a few people suggest that I may be going through early menopause, as I am 29, I am not too sure of this. One other thing, both my mother and Grandmother have had problems with their thyroids, mine was tested but showed nothing out of the ordinary. Am I just falling apart? My pms is outrageous and my kids are starting to hate me. Any advice?
