Birth Control/InfectionFrom: Aliza (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 20 Dec 2001 16:33:58 -0600 (CST)
Just today I went to my gynecologist to see if I had a vaginal infection because I have been having yellowish colored discharge for a long time now. The last period I had, I only bled for about 3 days then just had brown discharge which after about a week turned into a creamy yellow discharge. I went to the gynecologist for the first time to see if anything was wrong. She didn't run a exam on me but she did poke around a little bit with a Q-Tip.. after a few hours she called me and said the test can back negative, that I had no infections. She did put me on birth control though for my irregular periods. I don't feel that this discharge is normal and i do think I have an infection but I don't know what to do now that my doctor has said there are no infections. Will the birth control help clear it up if there is anything? What do i do now. Thanks a lot
