If this is in both breasts than you are probably feeling thickened breast tissue and this is usually normal. At your age a mammogram is rarely called for unless a specific mass is found. I would see your healthcare provider for any questions about your self exam. You are doing the right thing and questioning what you feel is normal. Let them examine you and if they think it's normal too, then you can relax. Remember to examine your breasts right after a period and not premenstually when many women notice changes in their breasts!
