First, I would recommend that you do talk to your doctor. It is important to find a healthcare provider that you feel comfortable talking about personal subjects with. Second, having irregular periods may make it more difficult to conceive but not impossible. I would highly recommend that you discuss it with your healthcare provider who could recommend different avenues to explore. Now is the time, before you plan to conceive, to pursue answers to your questions and begin planning a healthy pregnancy. Good luck.
