metformin

I was diagnosed with PCOS last year, although I've known it for years by my symptoms (periods 3-4 times a year, weight gain..). I went to a reproductive endo. last month for the first time and he put me on metformin and spironolactone. The next morning I had my blood drawn (fasting glucose, insulin and testosterone) and they were all normal. Should I still be taking these medications? it's been a month now, and I have seen no weight difference.

Thanks Pamela
