Re: Why am I missing my period?From: Harvey S. Marchbein, M.D. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 13 Dec 2001 15:29:49 -0600 (CST)
Someone didn't check the archives. :-) Either in the Young Women's forum or the Women's Health forum you would have found out that this is very, very common and nothing to be concerned about. It can take 1-3 months on average to get a period after going off the pill. If no period by 3 months, we usually recommend calling the doctor, doing a pregnancy test before hand, and then receive a prescription for Provera to bring the period on. We don't need to do this too often because most women will get their periods. Hope this helps and write back anytime for more information. Dr. M
