Re: Continuous brown dischargeFrom: clare (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 4 Dec 2001 14:48:20 -0600 (CST)
Hi Brenda: I'm not a Dr. but I noticed that no-one has answered your question so I'll give it a try. Usually, brownish discharge is just blood that's been in your uterus a bit longer than normal. You stated that you are very thin - if you don't eat enough to nourish your body one of the side effects is lack of regular menses. There are a lot of other side effect of being too thin, and I won't preach them here (if you are interested just post to me and I'll answer). Stress can cause all sorts of abnormalities, and if you are unsure or experiencing any discomfort a trip to your Ob/Gyn would be in order. On that note, you are at the ideal age for a first trip to an Ob/Gyn (if you haven't already been). Best wishes.
