Extreme PMS problemsFrom: angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 27 Nov 2001 18:58:52 -0600 (CST)
Hello i have had extreme pms problems lately and i went to the er once for them. After the er visit i went to my own primary care doctor(Military Base). My doctor told me this was totaly normal since my last pap about a year ago was normal. I asked about endo cause i had an aunt that had it and he told me that if my pap was good then not to worry. He sugested putting me on an anti depresant, or for me to take 800 mg motrin 2 weeks before my periode starts when i am just cramping alittle. At the ER the doctor told me to see a gyn however my doctor a phy asis says tht is not necesary. I have had these problems for a long time. they are extreme pains that keep me in the bathroom for hours and my skins stays clammy and white. This last time i ws so exhausted and the pains were so bad my huby took me to the ER and now tricare is not wnting to pay the bill. As for my doc he said that pms cramps are not life threatening and that tricare does not have to pay. Anyway i wnat to know can you tell if a person has endo by a pap and if you can but not always what is the best way to tell. I am gonna see a diff doc as soon as i can. I am in the process of trying to change my primary care team which will give me a diff doc but i like to be informed also that way if my doc is telling me something that makes no since then i can call him on it. thanks
