I am 20 years old...at the age of 17 i had my 1st gyn visit, during that visit my nurse practictioner found a 5 pound ovarian cyst. I never suspected that there was a problem, from what my doctors told me this is normal. They ended up removing the cyst and half of an ovary, my doctor told me that as long as I have one remaining ovary it shouldn't be a problem to conceive.
