You can be mildly hyperthyroid with no symptoms. Our lab cutoff is aobut 5.5. If your TSH level is above the normal cutoff of the lab, you are hyperthyroid. A thyroid sonogram can be done to see if there is any physical abnormality of the thyroid that may be causing this. If there is any question abouta diagnosis or therapy, see an endocrinoologist.
