If you truly have a yeast infection every month when you have a resistant yeast infection in that is something that needs to be evaluated. Obviously the medication that they're giving you every month is not eradicating the yeast. You may want to go to someone who will do a yeast culture, as what you're describing is not normal. Now everything that itches and burns is not yeast therefore I personally like to do a culture or at least look under the microscope to know what I'm dealing with, especially in recurrent infections.
