Next in thread: Richard Chudacoff, MD: "Re: periode and yeast infection" Reply: Richard Chudacoff, MD: "Re: periode and yeast infection" hi, i called my doc and asked if she could write me a perscripiton for yest infection, but they said i have to come in so they know what kind of yea infction it is. that makes sense, so i had an appt. fo rthe next day. but the next day i started my period so called them and they said come back next weeek if i still need to. now my question is could being on my period help clear the infection? and if there is no more yest but there is still burning do i have to go in for an appt. or is there something i could use OTC. I have yest infections every month and the last time i didn't do anything because my period was coming and i don't want the infctions to become resistant to the drugs they gove me, which is flagyl 7. Basically is there anything i can just put on for the slight itching and burning feeling?
