My cousin's story...any help will be appreciated...From: Lori (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 27 Sep 2001 11:00:37 -0500 (CDT)
I know im probably not in the right place but here it goes. Im writing this for my cousin. She is 22 years old and just had her first child in December. since then things are horrible. There were problems with the delievery. Doctors are now saying it should have been a C-section. she has issues now. One problem is with that tearing and infection she had, inside and outside. Second problem is her bladder. its not fuctioning. she cant urinate with out a cath. doctors think they damaged the Bladder's nerves while using instruments to pull the baby out. it has been 9 months for her and nothing has changed. Now they suggest for her to get a tube put in from the bladder, out of her stomach. she would have to use the bathroom that way. shes scared (you cant go back after you have this done). they say not to think too long about it becuz the strain on her bladder right now is already affecting her kidneys. They say another year like this and she will have kidney failure. A big decision to make. They say she is healing too slow. Also they want her to see a doctor in Houston, TX for the 3rd degree lacerations and scar tissue she has in the vagina and around the bladder. They think he should look her over and see what he can do. she wants to see if there is anyone else anywhere that has had or is going through something similar. also wants to know what they have done or what doctors are saying. if anyone could help at all...or just knows anyone that has these same problems... ANY ADVICE FROM DOCTORS...reply. she would love to speak with you. thank you for listening..
