Often in the few years preceeding menopause, cycles can start doing weird things, spotting mid cycle, etc. That may very well be what is going on. You most definitely need an exam and a pap smear. As for the fibro, some studies have indicated that fibro can cause pelvic pain. I would not be in any kind of panic over anything going on, but I would be sure to keep the GYN appt.
