No PERIODS trying to get pregnant. HELP!!!!From: Val (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Sep 2001 11:13:06 -0500 (CDT)
I'm 26 years old. I've been married for two years & have been on the pill for 2 years. I stopped taking the pill in February 2001 with my Doctors knowledge. I wanted to give my body enough time to adjust; since we were planning on starting a family. Thank God I came off the pill (Triphasal) when I did because I have not had a period. My periods did not change at all. I have had full blood work, hormone tests, ultrasounds and everything comes back normal. I seem to have a monthly cycle every 30-33 days but I'm not bleeding I get a very dark brown discharge for 2-3 days. My normal periods were usually 4 days with 3 heavy bleeding and the 4-5th day with this discharge. Can you tell me if I'm actually ovulating? Should I even be attempting to get pregnant or could I be putting my child in some danger. I have never smoked or done drugs. I drink occasionally i.e. glass of wine/week. I have cut out my large morning coffee which let me tell you was a huge sacrifice. Other than that I just want things to go back to normal. Unfortunately I am a 'planning freak' but my body is definitely showing me who's boss. PLEASE help any advice.....but most of all can I even get pregnant? I had another ultrasound last week and the technician told me my left ovary was enlarged along with a follicle. She said the follicle was not large enough for me to ovulate; sure enough four days three days later I started my BROWN cycle. So I thought maybe I had already ovulated two weeks prior and it just takes time for your ovary to relax. Please help.
