Now I understand. You started the pill a week late. Well, that may
have allowed an ovulation (although unlikely - I'd still recommend
another form of birth control for the first 3 weeks just to be sure) and
is not the way medical professionals do it. We normally recommend
starting a new pack when you would normally be starting your placebos
and take the new pack until honeymoon, vacation, whatever, is over and
the period can ensue. This would then have you taking the pill for more
than 3 weeks straight and up to 6 or more, depending.
