I saw a question similar to this, but it doesn't really apply to my situation. Five weeks ago, I stopped taking my birth control pills (Mircette). Since then, I had a full length period, around the time I should have had it- that ended on August 27th. Starting two days ago (September 2nd), I've been having a dark brown/black discharge. At first it was a bit bloody (sorta pink-tinged), and now it's dark brown/black, but it appears to have small bits and pieces in it- almost like it's a fine grained powder. I feel a bit 'irritated' around/inside my vagina, and since the discharge/irritation hasn't gone away, I'm a bit concerned. I am sexually active, but with only one person (always been with just ONE person), and neither of us have ever been with anyone else but each other, so an STD can be ruled out. Is it possible that I've picked up an infection? Thank you for taking the time to answer this, Jennifer
