Hi Jessy,

Just had to let you know how *wonderful* I have found birth control pills to be. I actually had some issues with nausea with high dosage birth control pills, but I finally worked them out and I have to say, it's definitely worth it! I used to have pain like yours... that required four advil every four hours for the first three days (terrible on my stomach) and I would be home from school for two of those days 'cause I couldn't walk around normally. With birth control, that all changed. The heaviness of my flow was reduced, the length of my period was reduced... and best of all, the pain became very manageable! I was really hesitant to start taking birth control, but I'm very glad I did. If you don't want to take that step yet, at least get yourself some prescription strength Naproxen (the drug in Aleve), which is so much more effective on cramps than ibuprofen.

The best thing is... I don't know if this works for everyone... but after about a year of taking the pills, I stopped and now the cramps are nearly nonexistent! For the first time in my life, I get surprised by my period showing up. It's great.

Just had to share, and I hope you find a solution that works as well for you as birth control did for me.
