Re: Is that it?From: Jessy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Aug 2001 18:21:36 -0500 (CDT)
Thanks for all your replies. Jen you say it is treatable but I don't know what to try now? I do not want to go on the pill... ever. Like I said Ibuprofen works well enough, but for it to work I end up having to take too much in the 24 hour period, and have now started getting bad stomach pain, and I know I shouldn't take it if I do. My doc prescribed me Mefenamic acid, but this too caused bad pain in my stomach. I have been worried there might be more to it but I assumed my doc would piece all my symptoms into a diagnosis, not leave me to do it. I'm confused because she writes anything else off so quickly almost without thought. So my symptoms are either so obviously normal that I should just agree with her, or she is not really listening to me. It's hard when you trust your doc to know what's right for you. I've also noticed my periods have been getting gradually heavier and my whole system is put out for the week or so leading up to them, I get odd stabbing pains, and pelvic aching + PMS. I almost fainted today, my heart rate dived and my fingertips were freezing. I was so scared that either, the mixture of pills last night were effecting me, or I was losing too much blood. I think I'll go back to my doc again, but I'm sure it's no use. I'm off to Uni next year and if I start feeling faint when I'm not at home or driving I've had it.
