Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Night sweats During Periods" Right before and during my period I experience severe sweats when I sleep at night. These are the kind where you wake up with your PJs and all of the bed linens thoroughly soaked. They are quite bothersome as I have to get up and change my PJs and strip the bed. I'm only 22 and no where near menopause so I know that's not the problem. I'm pretty athletic (run 5-9 miles every day) and a some one suggested that that might have something to do with it, but I don't see how. What gives? Is it hormonal? I prefer to stay as medication-free as possible so if there is something I can do besides getting a prescription for it I'd like to know. Thanks for any help. Next message: Harvey S.
