In the past 2 months I have had my period 2 times per month. I am not on birth control. I recently had a bladder or unirary tract infection. Could the infection be a cause of the 2 periods per month? I am an athletic person. Usually athletes periods are light, but mine were extremely heavy. I could feel the blood coming out of me. I know this is not normal. What could be the cause of this?
