I can certainly understand your fear of doctors, but they are really there to help you. There could be a number of things that would cause these changes in your cycle, but the only way to know for sure is to see a gynocologist. I've learned that we all need to trust our instincts, if we feel something is wrong and it really worries us, we need to get it checked out. Not only for ease of mind, but if, in the worst case scenario, something is wrong, it is better to find out sooner than later. I know how scary it is to go to a dr let alone a gyn. for the first time, if you prefer most physicians will set up an appt just so you and that physician can get "acquainted", then when you are comfortable they can perform a physical. Most drs are kind and understanding, you just have to let them know how you are feeling. I hope that I have helped you in some way.
